Dr Sarah Foxen is a Knowledge Exchange Manager in the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, UK Parliament. The office serves as a bridge between research and policy, conducting independent, balanced and accessible analysis of public policy issues related to science, technology and the social sciences. Sarah’s role includes training and supporting academics and those working in Higher Education to engage with Parliament, and working with parliamentary colleagues to increase uptake of research. Sarah leads Parliament’s input into the development of Research England’s 2021 Research Excellence Framework and Knowledge Exchange Framework. She is also involved in POST’s international work programme; providing support and exchanging insights with international legislative science advice mechanisms. Sarah has a PhD in sociolinguistics from the University of Exeter (UK) and a background in education.
