Dr. Luis Uzeda Garcia

Luis Uzeda Garcia is a Senior Researcher at Nokia Bell Labs France and an Adjunct Professor at Instituto Tecnológico Vale in Brazil. He holds a PhD degree in Wireless Communications from Aalborg University (DK) and worked as an International Faculty Fellow at MIT (USA). Luis has been working with applied research for the past 15 years and has authored several patents and papers. His work experience spans the physical, medium access, and networking layers. Expertise relevant to advanced communication system design include link- & system-level simulations, radio resource management, graph theory, signal processing techniques, radio propagation, industrial networking and standardization activities. During his 5 years at the Research and Innovation department of the world’s largest iron ore producer, Luis has learned how to manage international projects and to build bridges between startups, industry, academia, and governmental institutions.
